LATEST NEWS! Doctoral Consortium participants should attend the working session on the 9th September afternoon. Then on 11th September, the students can present their results/work to the conference at large, and receive questions and answers from the conference participants. Exact sub schedule, format, and timings is to be determined by Doctoral Consortium Chair.

For the second time in the MobileHCI conference series, a doctoral consortium will be arranged at MobileHCI'07. The doctoral consortium gives possibilities to further develop their research agenda under the guidance of a selected research faculty. The consortium will be held on 9th September 2007 before the main conference starts.

Doctoral students with ongoing thesis work in the field of MobileHCI are encouraged to send position papers to participate in the Doctoral Consortium. In the consortium, the accepted PhD students will present their work and receive comments and feedback from senior researchers and experts in the field. The participants should preferrably be in the middle phase of their PhD research - already well started with a structured research plan or preliminary results, but not yet doing the last preparations for their dissertation. All students are expected to attend the whole workshop.

To apply, prepare a position paper of your PhD research. This should be maximum of 4 pages in conference publication format. Submit your position paper by emailing it to ivan@inmeet.com.sg preferrably in pdf format.

The position paper should describe their PhD research, the research goals and problems intended to be solved, the originality of the work, the methodology applied, its current status, and the expected contribution and innovation for the field of MobileHCI. A short biographical sketch should be included. The submission should be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from the primary advisor.

Deadline

The deadline for submission is 25th July 2007. (Closed)
