Novel Mobile Applications and Implications on Users

Session Chair: Seongil Lee, Sungkyunkwan University, Korea

In this session, issues related with novel mobile applications and its implications on users would be discussed. With the advancement of mobile networks and devices, many novel applications are being developed using mobile environment, resulting in certain social roles and implications. We have seen a trend of converting traditionally non-mobile techniques and models into ones that fit mobile environment. User needs would be reflected in the process of development of these applications, and at the same time user needs to adapt to these new applications in certain ways. This session will include papers on variety of applications that are using mobile platforms, thus creating novel mobile applications and bearing certain social implications on users.
